Desvac School 2015

Ceva kickstarted the first Desvac School in Malaysia at A’ Famosa Resort, Melaka on the 4th of March 2015

A leader in hatchery vaccination services , Ceva Animal Health Malaysia in collaboration with its Malaysia’s sole distributor, Agritech Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. kickstarted its inaugural Desvac School Malaysia at A’ Famosa Resort, Melaka on the 4th of March 2015 with more than 70 participants from hatcheries all over Peninsular Malaysia. The event is aimed to increase the knowledge of hatchery managements and operators about the usage and benefits of innovative equipment in the deliverance of vaccines for the day old chicks in hatcheries.

With a vision that sees the importance of reliable equipment in the global trend and shift in hatchery vaccinations, Ceva acquired Desvac in 2008 and has been actively innovating and improving its wide range of services. Starting with C.H.I.C.K. program which stands for Ceva Hatchery Immunization Control Keys, it is a pioneer program in the auditing of hatchery vaccination in Malaysia. With the recent set up of the Customer Service and Equipment Department (CSED), Ceva is taking its commitment to customers to a whole new level.

In line with the progress, Desvac School Malaysia is made into reality with the sharing of information with topics including Importance of Hatchery Vaccination and its future trend as well as Overview and Revision on C.H.I.C.K Program. Apart from that, with Ceva’s strategic partnership with E-CAT, which specializes in hatchery automation equipment and services, a range of automation services to be customized to different needs and hatchery designs was also introduced. This is especially important in view of the near future needs of in-ovo vaccination which brings even greater benefits to hatcheries operations and savings.

Apart from sharing of presentations, participants’ understanding on the topics was also put into test with quiz sessions, to which the crowd joined in enthusiastically. In conjunction with Desvac School Malaysia, CSED Malaysia also launches a program termed “C.H.I.C.K. Membership”. This membership offers rewards with the target to recognize vaccinators’ effort in their quest of excellence in vaccination process, as well as to motivate them to perform consistently in their daily jobs.

Ceva recognizes the significance of hatchery’s management and operators’ roles in handling of equipment in hatchery vaccination. Hence with the organizing of Desvac School Malaysia, it is hoped to have taken another big step in contributing to the progress of the poultry industry as a whole.
